In 2022, the university adopted Guidelines for the Evaluation of Effective Teaching. Those guidelines are intended to support faculty, administrators, departments, and schools to better understand and implement effective evaluation strategies.

In support of this goal, the university's Office of Teaching Evaluation and Assessment Research (OTEAR) has developed a list of protocols and rubrics to support departments in developing departmental plans for the evaluation of teaching.
